Universal Field Panel™ Gateway
The gateway at the heart of every Universal Field Panel™, from the edge to the enterprise.
The UFP Gateway is the open-architecture IIoT device at the core of every Universal Field Panel. It delivers trustworthy, authenticated data from the far edge to the enterprise, hosts edge applications in Docker containers, and powers and manages up to 16 Expansion Modules.

One gateway, a whole site
A single UFP Gateway supports 16 DESI channels with up to 64 DESI devices, 128 sensor inputs or 64 control relays, four RS-485 serial ports with four OSDP readers each, and up to 16 Expansion Modules downstream. There is no limit to the number of gateways in a system.
Compute at the edge
The gateway runs Ubuntu Core with PostgreSQL in TPM-protected storage and Docker container services for third-party applications. MQTT and an open API and SDK let COTS and GOTS software run at the edge, reducing server load, power and cooling in the operations center.
Hardened by design
TPM 2.0, secure boot, secure key storage, signed firmware, antivirus and an RMF STIG compliant operating system protect the gateway itself. All communication uses FIPS 140-3 compliant TLS with ECC-P256, and the device ships from a secure, authenticated supply chain made in the USA.
- 16 DESI channels, up to 64 DESI devices, any mix
- 128 sensor inputs or 64 control relays per gateway
- Four RS-485 ports, four OSDP readers each
- Docker, MQTT, PostgreSQL and open API at the edge
- Powers and manages up to 16 Expansion Modules
