Self-Contained Systems
Portable IDS
Deployable intrusion detection for temporary sites and expeditionary perimeters.
The Portable Intrusion Detection System brings fixed-site perimeter security to a mobile platform. Preassembled and preconfigured, it combines PSG’s command and control, perimeter sensors, assessment cameras, wireless communications and onboard power, and deploys in hours.

Fixed-site security, mobile
PIDS packages PSG’s physical security and video management with perimeter intrusion sensors, CCTV cameras for assessment, wireless communications and onboard power. A standalone headend runs intrusion detection and video management for one to eight four-sector field systems.
Deployed in hours
A team of three can deploy the system within eight hours in a greenfield environment. Quick-connect cabling adds security elements without rework, and the generator, battery bank and radio allow independent operation, with shore power and fiber for long-term use.
Tested to the nuclear standard
PIDS is tested to rigorous DOD and DOE nuclear security standards and serves as a compensatory measure for high security controlled areas. It is managed by LINX™ 10 Enterprise and VICADS® V100, so operators work in the same systems they use at fixed sites.
- One to eight four-sector field systems per headend
- Two perimeter sensors per sector with immediate video assessment
- Detection range of 400 to 2,400 meters, terrain dependent
- Deployable within eight hours by a team of three
- Generator, battery bank and radio for independent operation
