Prometheus Security Group Global (PSG) announced today that Texas Christian University (TCU) has named Jeremy Freeze-Skret, Vice President of Engineering, a Small Business Innovator at the Texas Innovation Awards, a centerpiece of the inaugural Texas Innovation Conference, held April 22–23, 2026 on the TCU campus in Fort Worth.

The conference brings together high-impact innovators, startups, researchers, and ecosystem leaders to strengthen collaboration and accelerate commercialization across Texas. The Texas Innovation Awards recognize companies and individuals driving innovation and economic growth statewide, with honorees drawn from SBIR/STTR Phase II award winners, university researchers, and industry leaders across the state's innovation ecosystem.

Freeze-Skret leads engineering at PSG with a focus on extending Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) to the physical security edge, applying identity, authentication, and data integrity principles to sensors, access control hardware, and video systems. He holds multiple patents in the field. This recognition stems in part from PSG’s active SBIR Phase II award supporting its Scene Authentication technology, a patented technology that extends Zero Trust beyond the security camera lens and into the physical environment it captures, addressing one of the most persistent and underappreciated vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure security.

Freeze-Skret summed it up: "We've developed a way to extend protection beyond the security camera lens and into the scene itself, authenticating not just the device, but the physical environment it captures. That capability now brings the same Zero Trust assurance PSG delivers across next-generation and legacy OT systems to video. For critical infrastructure, that's a seismic shift, giving operators the confidence to act decisively on what they see."

Rick Gross, CEO of Prometheus Security Group Global, added: "Jeremy's dedication is emblematic of our unwavering commitment to national security. Extending Zero Trust to the scene itself isn't an incremental improvement, it's a fundamental advance in how we protect the infrastructure this nation depends on."
