In the most controlled environments, PSG gives every door contact, sensor and camera a trusted device identity, so staff act on signals verified at the source, not assumed.
A correctional facility is built in layers: perimeter fence detection, sally ports, cell doors, control rooms and cameras in every corridor. Those layers depend on signals from devices installed over decades, most of them analog, reporting over supervised loops that confirm a wire is intact but not which device sent the signal.
That is an opening for tampering and false alarms in a place that cannot afford either. The work is to give each contact, sensor and camera a cryptographic identity on the wiring already in the walls: modernization without rip-and-replace.

Where PSG sits
PSG is the Embedded Zero Trust Architecture for Physical Security. In a facility it works in two layers: authenticated devices at every door and fence, and control rooms on verified data.

How PSG applies
Authenticate every door
DESI installs at the door contact, lock or sensor and replaces the end-of-line resistor with challenge-response authentication. Every input is verified before it is accepted and every output before it executes, and tamper is reported as an alert.
Keep the wiring in the walls
Multiple DESI devices run over a single pair of wires, and existing contacts, locks and sensors keep working. Each Universal Field Panel supports up to 128 inputs, 64 outputs and 16 readers, so a facility migrates zone by zone.
Catch tampering on video
LINX 10 Enterprise routes alarms without limit and calls up the nearest camera automatically. With Scene Authentication, VICADS V100 verifies that video is live and unaltered, and detects loops, covered emitters and injected feeds.
Recommended for correctional facilities
DESI Controller
Replaces the end-of-line resistor and gives every analog sensor a cryptographic identity.
